Brown Social Entrepreneurship
The Social Innovation Initiative (SII) is a groundbreaking program at Brown University. Started in the spring of 2008, SII brings together leading social entrepreneurs students. Together, these students share best practices, participate in workshops on topics like fundraising, and provide support for one another.
In addition, SII links undergrad social entrepreneurs with Brown alums in the world of social change. Such connections are meant to serve as tools for young social entrepreneurs to learn from those more experienced in the field.
Finally, SII connects both current students and alums to leading social entrepreneurship organizations such as Ashoka and Do Something. Such connections enable Brown social entrepreneurs to widen the impact of their projects.
